Professor Malcolm Shepherd is a Respiratory Physician who specialises in severe adult allergy and asthma. His clinical work focuses on anaphylaxis and severe type I allergy as the director of the West of Scotland Anaphylaxis service. They offer diagnostic, lifestyle and dietary advice and therapeutic management to adults over the age of 14 years, from most of West Central Scotland (around 50% of Scotland’s population).
Professor Shepherd is Deputy Director of Glasgow University Medical school and is passionate about educating tomorrow’s doctors and clinical leaders. Spending 12 years as a research Translational-Immunologist he worked in Melbourne Australia and Glasgow and was sponsored by the MRC and Asthma UK.
