AllergyWise® for School Nurses
AllergyWise® for School Nurses is our brand new course especially for school nurses employed by schools and Allergy Specialist Nurses with responsibility for training school staff. The course is easy to follow, engaging and packed with practical guidance to ensure that your knowledge equips you to confidently train school staff to manage allergies.
Modules and Topics
The AllergyWise® for School Nurses course is in two parts. The knowledge modules are focused on ensuring that school nurses and allergy specialist nurses have the background knowledge they need before training school staff. Once the knowledge element of the course has been undertaken, modules on training staff equip school nurses to lead a high quality training course. The course provides school nurses and allergy specialist nurses with all the resources they need to lead the training session. The background knowledge part covers essential topics such as recognising the signs and symptoms of serious allergies, emergency response including administering adrenaline auto-injectors and developing safe management practices in schools. Additionally, the course emphasises inclusivity and safeguarding, fostering a supportive environment for all children.

What You’ll Learn
The course includes audio, quizzes, interactive content and a final, competency assessment. On completion, you’ll receive a digital certificate that is valid for a year from course completion date.
