Shape the future of allergy-related anxiety care!

Are you excited by a new role that seeks to develop innovative new therapies, developing your skills as psychological therapist, trainer, researcher, supervisor, and service developer?  For 30 years, we at Anaphylaxis UK have been empowering people with serious allergies and their families by providing evidence-based information across various sectors. Now, we’re taking a bold step towards mental health.

In collaboration with the University of Surrey, we are developing a groundbreaking Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Project which aims to revolutionise allergy-related anxiety care. The key aspects of the KTP are:

  • Develop and train staff to deliver a bespoke, digitised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-based intervention specifically designed to reduce allergy-related anxiety.
  • Enhance the skills of volunteer support group leaders and helpline staff through training, consultation, and clinical leadership, as part of developing a psychologically informed environment (PIE).
  • Position Anaphylaxis UK as a leader in tackling allergy-related mental health challenges, ultimately improving lives and reducing healthcare burden.

To take this exciting project forward, we are seeking a passionate early-career Clinical Psychologist who is Doctoral level trained in clinical psychology and HCPC registered.  This position is based with Anaphylaxis UK and supported by a team of renowned experts from the University of Surrey, including Professor Christina Jones and Dr Warren Matofsky (School of Psychology).
