• How long do staff have to complete the course?

  The purchased courses are valid for 12 months, as per the course terms and conditions.

• Do my staff have to complete it at a certain time?

  No, this online course can be completed at a time that suits you.

• How long does the course take?

  The course takes approximately 1 hour to complete. 

• Does the course need to be completed all in one go?

  No, you can log back in and your course progress will be saved.

• Do I need to pass the final assessment on the first attempt?

  No, the pass mark for the final assessment is 80% but you can re-do the assessment multiple times if needed. There is also no time limit for the final assessment.

• Does this course include how to use adrenaline auto-injectors?

  Yes, how to use adrenaline auto-injectors is included in this course.

  To complement this online course, we recommend schools order trainer adrenaline auto-injector devices to practise with. Order these directly from the manufacturer’s websites for free: EpiPen®, Jext® and Emerade®.

• How often should my staff complete this course?

  It is recommended that training is repeated annually. Schools who purchase this course again the following year receive a 20% discount.

• How long will I have access to the course content?

  The validity of the course purchase is 12 months.

• Why is it so important school staff complete this course?

  Every school class is likely to have at least one pupil with allergies. The most serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) usually begins within minutes and can be life-threatening.

  We encourage a whole school allergy awareness approach, involving education of all staff and pupils. The more staff and pupils who are allergy aware and can recognise the signs of anaphylaxis, the safer all pupils with allergies in school will be.

  Our allergy awareness lesson resource packs, included with this course, will support your school to educate pupils about allergies and raise awareness of the emotional impact allergies can have.
