The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is Scotland’s largest mass participation running event, with over 35,000 runners and 100,000 spectators enjoying eleven different race distances over two days. From the 5k, held in the stunning Holyrood Park, to the one of the UK’s fastest marathons, there’s something for everyone.
The full marathon offers PB potential along a fast and flat picturesque route. Enjoy a fantastic all-encompassing route which takes in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks – including the stunning Edinburgh Castle – as well as offering pretty views along the East Lothian coastline. The festival takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend, so there’ll be time before and after the big race to enjoy Scotland’s beautiful capital city.
