Food allergy and the Americans with Disabilities Act

A recent posting on this website highlighted the fact that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) covers food allergies in some circumstances:

Further media coverage this week clarifies the issue, explaining that  the ADA does not require all restaurants to provide allergen-free foods, but that  it might require restaurants to take "reasonable steps" to accommodate people with food allergies, as long as the accommodation doesn't result in a “fundamental alteration” of the restaurant’s operation. Read the article here.
