Living with serious allergies shouldn’t mean living on the sidelines. Whether it is a child navigating the school dining hall, an adult enjoying a social gathering, a colleague attending a work lunch, or a family booking a holiday, no one should ever feel isolated by a health condition they cannot control.

This 1st – 7th October, we are dedicating Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2026 to one clear mission: ensuring everyone living with serious allergies feels safe and included.

That’s why this year’s theme is “a sense of belonging”. During the week we’ll be sharing resources, stories, and podcasts to help raise awareness, start conversations, and encourage better understanding of life with serious allergies. Please share them with your family, friends, colleagues, pupils, and patients, and help us spread the message of inclusion.

In an era of viral social media trends and misinformation, the wrong advice can trigger unnecessary panic or dangerous mistakes. Throughout the week, we are cutting through the noise by delivering evidence-based, trustworthy resources, podcasts, and personal stories. Our goal is to replace uncertainty with practical knowledge and community support.

Last year’s campaign struck a chord, reaching more than 230,000 people online and sparking hundreds of deeply moving conversations. For 2026, we are aiming even higher.

Ways to get involved this October:

#WearItBright: Stand out to spread awareness – wear your brightest colours and tag us on social media.

Download the AAW26 Toolkit: Head over to our campaign hub for free event guides, factsheets, and printable resources.

Bring it to work: Host an allergy-safe coffee morning, set up an educational display, or run a team fundraiser.

Engage your school: Involve teachers, pupils, and parents with interactive learning sessions and inclusive activities.

Every shared post, open conversation, and inclusive event makes a real difference. Together, we can ensure no one navigates life with serious allergies alone.
