We’re excited to announce that Anaphylaxis UK will be taking part in the UK’s biggest collaborative fundraising campaign – Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2024!

Starting on #GivingTuesday, Tuesday 3 December, you will have seven days to donate to our campaign. Every donation, no matter the size, will be automatically doubled! Will you help us reach our goal of raising £15,000 to help create a brighter and safer future for people living with serious allergies?

Double at Christmas

Big Give runs match-funded campaigns for charities and special causes at key moments across the year. It’s a simple idea – when the public donates to a charity through a Big Give campaign, they ask funders (philanthropists, foundations or corporates) to match that donation. So £50 from a member of the public becomes £100 for a good cause.

This year, their Christmas Challenge campaign – Double at Christmas – celebrates the joy of doubling and the power of matched giving.

We’re encouraging our supporters to “give BIG” by having their Christmas donations matched between 3-10 December, effectively doubling their impact to Anaphylaxis UK. Every donation made to Anaphylaxis UK will be generously matched by our match funders and Big Give Champion, ShareGift.

A £50 donation can provide a reassuring and informative call with our Helpline team for 5 parents of children with allergies. During the Big Give Christmas Challenge, this donation turns into £100 and, in doing so, will support 10 parents! See your donation – and your difference – double.

The Hidden Battle with Allergies

Great work has been done over the years, by us and other leading allergy charities, to raise awareness of the seriousness of allergies and anaphylaxis. For 30 years, Anaphylaxis UK has been a trusted source of evidence-based information and resources to help with every milestone of your allergy journey and potential challenges faced.

But there is still much work to be done to tackle the often ‘hidden’ emotional challenges that come with living with serious allergies.

With that in mind, we have chosen to focus our Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024 campaign on The Hidden Battle with Allergies to help people take control of the emotional impact of living with serious allergies. Together, we will create a brighter future for this generation and the next.

Double the donation, double the difference

The worry of living with or caring for someone with serious allergies, may never fully go away… we know that. But what we also know is having access to the right information and support can help to ease the emotional strain of living with allergies.

The money raised from our Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024 campaign will go towards developing unique resources and leading services to help those living with allergies to better manage the fear and anxiety that may come with it.

Your gift of £10 can help print and distribute new patient information leaflets to allergy clinics across the UK. Big Give doubles it to £20!

A £50 gift funds the ‘Let’s Talk About Allergies’ podcast. Big Give turns it into £100 to cover more issues and reach more listeners!

Your £100 helps fund community support groups for those affected by anaphylaxis and their families. Big Give doubles it to £200!

A £150 gift provides AllergyWise®️ training to a school. Big Give doubles it to £300 which trains more teachers in allergy management!
