New Chair and Vice Chair of Anaphylaxis Campaign Clinical & Scientific Panel for 20 year anniversary

We're pleased to announce a new Chair and Vice Chair of our esteemed Clinical and Scientific Panel for 2014 alongside our 20th Anniversary.
Celebrated allergy specialists Dr Andrew Clark and Dr Trevor Brown will lead the Panel, which provides the Campaign with expert insight into health and scientific issues related to severe allergies, research and related policies and activities.
The new chair, Dr Andrew Clark is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy at the Cambridge University Hospital Trust. He is perhaps best known for his exciting study of oral desensitisation for peanut allergy which will be published early in 2014 and has written many other peer reviewed articles which have influenced clinical practice.
Dr Clark is also Chair of the Standards of Care Committee of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI), which writes national guidelines for specialist allergy care and Secretary to the European Taskforce on the Allergic Child at School.
Dr Trevor Brown, the new Vice Chair, is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist at Ulster Hospital, Belfast. Dr Brown has both a personal interest in allergy with affected family members as well as an academic commitment, with over 10 years experience as a Paediatric Allergist. Recently he has been a member of the NICE Guideline Development Groups for Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis. He is on the Executive Committees of both the Primary Care section of the BSACI and the European Academy for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). He was also heavily involved in developing the UK National Care Pathways for children with allergy.
